Kaiju No. 8 Latest Trailer Releases April Release Date

Kaiju No. 8 has quickly become one of the most anticipated anime of 2024. It's based on the manga of the same name written and drawn by Naoya Matsumoto. Luckily for fans of Matsumoto's work, there's not much longer to wait as the show premieres on the Crunchyroll streaming service very soon. April 13, to be exact.

The new sneak peek at the series comes from TOHO Animation's YouTube channel, where the studio also revealed a bit of the opening and ending song that'll be playing for each episode. The opening song, Abyss, is performed by singer YUNGBLUD, while the ending song, Nobody, is performed by OneRepublic. This is especially notable because oftentimes, it's rare to have English artists perform fully in their native language in anime.

The creator of popular Switch emulator Yuzu is the target of Nintendo's latest anti-piracy lawsuit, with the gaming giant claiming in its suit that "there is no lawful way to use Yuzu to play Nintendo Switch games."

The lawsuit, picked up by Game File's Stephen Totilo, is seeking "equitable relief and damages" from Yuzu creator Tropic Haze, alleging that the emulator unlawfully circumvents its copyright protections, knowingly "facilitating piracy at a colossal scale."

A Crew Member On Marvel's Wonder Man Has Died On Set

A crew member on Marvel Studios' Wonder Man has died in an accident on set, THR reports. The crew member was a rigger who fell from the rafters while working on the Wonder Man set at the Radford Studio Center in Los Angeles. The show was not filming on Tuesday, when the accident occured, but crew members were in to work on the set.

"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident," Marvel Studios said in a statement. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) is investigating the accident.

IATSE, who represent on-set workers, shared its own statement on the crew member's death. "Everyone in the IA family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues," IATSE president Matthew D. Loeb said. “Safety on set is our highest priority and we will assist Cal/OSHA in their investigation in any way that we can. Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Gets An Update On How It's Coming Along

A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development at CD Projekt's teams in the US and Canada, and now we've learned a little more about the staff working on the game.

The sequel is in the works under the codenamed Project Orion, and it's only in the "early stages of development," CD Projekt said in a news release. The team working on the game includes a number of senior staffers from the original game, including Gabriel Amatangelo (game director), Paweł Sasko (associate game director), Igor Sarzyński (creative director), Andrzej Stopa (cinematic director), Kacper Niepokólczycki (environment art director), Sarah Grümmer (acting lead quest designer), and Kacper Kościeński (engineering director).

All of these people are working on the sequel at CD Projekt's new office in Boston, Massachusetts. A Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo may be arriving within a week, according to a new leak.

The PlayStation leak account "PlayStation Game Size," which posts the total install size of games ahead of release, claimed that a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo will arrive after a State of Play promising an "exclusive look" at the game. The stream is set to debut on Tuesday, February 6 at 3:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET.

According to the account, players can port their progress from the demo into the full game and will also receive an in-game award for completing the demo: a Kupo Charm - Survival Set. Based on this information, the demo will likely cover the opening hours of the game. Helldivers II seems like a great co-op game. I had a lot of fun blasting giant bugs and mechanical soldiers for a few hours in Arrowhead Game Studios' upcoming shooter, calling down airstrikes and screeching with laughter after accidental friendly fire transformed good intentions into hilarious deaths.

Much of Helldivers II builds on the formula of its 2015 predecessor. You play as ordinary soldiers who ODST-drop down onto procedurally generated planets, fighting to defend the dystopian democracy that is Super Earth. Friendly fire is always on--between that and the dangerous alien threats you face, you'll die plenty of times, redeploying on the battlefield as a new soldier ready to give their life for the cause. Prior to each mission, you determine your loadout, including what special armaments and heavy artillery you may want to call in when things get bad, like air strikes, deployable turrets, and rocket launchers. When the mission is finished, you call in a dropship and defend the landing sight until your ride arrives.

Foamstars, the upcoming Splatoon-like PlayStation shooter by Square Enix, has revealed that it will have ongoing seasonal content, with new seasons arriving roughly every 5 weeks. Running on such a short timeframe, it's good the developers already have six of those seasons mapped out in a roadmap that was shared today.

Arriving on February 6 as a PlayStation Plus free game for all membership tiers, Foamstars will be kicking off its first season, Starry Pop, straight off the bat. The initial season will include two time-limited ranked party events--a solo mode called Lonestar, and a team-based event called Tribe-Vibe. In these events, players can spend Rank Points (RP) to play in a 5-round match for the chance to win even more RP. Players can climb the ranks by earning enough RP to undertake a Rank-Up Trial in the hopes of reaching the next ranked tier.
