Diablo 4's New Endgame Event Will Make Leveling Glyphs A Breeze (If You Can Survive)

Diablo IV's new endgame event intended for level 100 characters is right around the corner, and will offer a powerful new Glyph as a reward.

In a recent Campfire Chat livestream, Blizzard detailed what all is around the corner for its popular ARPG, detailing the new seasonal Abattoir of Zir event coming as part of Season 2, as well as sharing more information about the game's upcoming holiday event, Midwinter Blight.

Abattoir of Zir kicks off on December 5 and will be playable through early January, Blizzard said. Only accessible by max level seasonal characters on World Tier IV, the event will see players battling against the forces of evil in a race against the clock. Players will have 10 minutes to defeat a required amount of enemies before challenging the event's most formidable foes. That doesn't sound too different from how the game's Nightmare dungeons work, but there is a key difference: a level-one Abattoir of Zir portal will be even more challenging than a Tier 100 Nightmare Dungeon. There will be 25 different levels of difficulty for Abattoir of Zir for players to overcome, giving min-maxing players a significant challenge to pursue. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Team Responds To Skill-Based Matchmaking Concerns

For more than a decade, Call of Duty players have raised concerns with the series' skill-based matchmaking system. Call of Duty's matchmaking system tries to match players together with similar statistics dependent on their kills, deaths, and assists. Sometimes, this system does not work as intended and places vastly varying skills together with games becoming lopsided.

Earlier today, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's team was quoted about the game's skill-based matchmaking. The team reiterated that it has placed the utmost care, time, and energy into the matchmaking and lobby system through a few different avenues. "[Skill-based matchmaking] involves people working at our Call of Duty studios, our backend services teams at Demonware, and other groups like our Player Insights team."

Call Of Duty: MW3 Patch Removes "Groot" Skin That Players Loudly Complained About

A new patch is out now for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and the biggest takeaway is that the update removes the "evil Groot" skin from the game temporarily. Players have, for months, complained that this skin, which is officially titled Gaia but has been referred to as "evil Groot" due to its resemblance to the tree-based Marvel character, was hard to see. Thus, using the Gaia skin gave players using it an advantage on the battlefield, many said.

As part of CD Projekt's latest earnings briefing, the company made a number of key disclosures about its development pipeline, including a staffing update for its upcoming projects.

A slide from the Polish company's earnings release shows the distribution of its developers on the studio's numerous projects. As you can see in the graph below, CD Projekt has now assigned the majority of its developers to the next big Witcher game, which is codenamed Polaris.The Witcher 4 now has more developers working on it

In the world of professional wrestling, fans are taught that the industry lives and dies on the simple phrase of "never say never." No matter what has transpired over the years, and no matter how unhirable someone has made themselves to top professional wrestling companies, a comeback is always possible--especially when there is money to be made. With that in mind, it shouldn't be as surprising as it is that CM Punk has returned to WWE, nearly a decade after his publicly messy departure from the company.

To fully explain the parting of ways and how bitter it was, there are a number of things to note. Firstly, Punk went through all of his side of the story in two appearances on Colt Cabana's The Art of Wrestling podcast. In it, he discussed a number of health issues and injuries he went through during his WWE career. As a result of that podcast, WWE's senior ringside physician, Dr. Christopher Amann, sued the Punk and Cabana for defamation. Punk and Cabana ultimately prevailed in the suit. However, it also led to the end of their friendship. It also seemed any potential of Punk returning to WWE was a moot point.

Fast forward to 2021 and we have the disastrous run of CM Punk in All Elite Wrestling. He debuted to a sold-out United Center in his hometown of Chicago, primed to be the new face of the fledgling company. While he had memorable matches at first, and even won the world championship on two occasions, those highlights were mired by injuries, reports of backstage altercations, suspensions, having the AEW World Championship stripped from him, and ultimately being fired for cause after AEW CEO Tony Khan claimed, "I've been going to wrestling shows for over 30 years. I've been producing them on this network for four years. Valve Says Steam Deck 2 Is Still Years Away

In releasing the upgraded Steam Deck OLED, Valve has specified that the new and improved handheld should still be considered part of the first generation of Steam Deck. Answering the question of when we can expect to see a true Steam Deck 2, Valve has said that it doesn't expect to produce a new iteration of the device for at least a couple of years.

That answer comes down to available technology, with Valve engineers explaining that the tech to significantly improve on the current Steam Deck just doesn't exist yet. Speaking to Eurogamer, Valve hardware engineer Yazan Aldehayyat said, "Obviously we'd love to get even more performance in the same power envelope, but that technology doesn't exist yet. Grand Theft Auto 6 Will Not Be Affected By Potential Actors Strike, Take-Two Suggests

The threat of a video game actors' strike is looming after union members voted 98.32% in favor of authorizing a strike in September. In Take-Two's latest earnings call, CEO Strauss Zelnick was optimistic about negotiations having a positive outcome, adding that the development of GTA 6 is "completely protected" in case of a strike.

SAG-AFTRA is currently negotiating with a number of major video game companies on behalf of actors involved in video games, which include voice actors and mo-cap actors. The companies involved in negotiations include Activision, Disney, EA, Insomniac Games, Epic Games, WB Games, and Rockstar's parent company Take-Two.

Night In The Woods Spiritual Successor Revenant Hill Has Been Canceled

Following its initial reveal during the PlayStation Showcase in May, Revenant Hill--a spiritual successor to indie darling Night In The Woods--has ceased development, according to a statement released by the game's developer today.

The official X account for The Glory Society released a lengthy confirmation of the game's cancellation, in which the team cited multiple reasons for the decision. Among them was the revelation that two team members were forced to step away from the project due to "serious health issues."

Back in June 2021, tech leaker kopite7kimi posted a picture of Nvidia's T234 processor, claiming that Nvidia was working on a custom variant called the T239 for Nintendo. In a new report, Digital Foundry stakes a claim the T239 is probably at the heart of the Switch 2. They base this assertion on a combination of leaks, LinkedIn posts, an Nvidia hack, and some "common sense reasoning." A key piece of evidence that the Switch 2 will use this processor is found within the aforementioned hack. According to the leaked information, Nvidia is using a NVN2 API, a second version of the API used to test the original Switch, to emulate the T329's behavior.

The T234 processor was originally designed for automotive and robotics and thus is too big for a mobile console. So the T239 will likely scale down from that chip and cut features meant for usage in automobiles. For example, while the T234 has a CPU architecture with 12x ARM A78AE, Eurogamer's projections give the T239 a 8x ARM A78C architecture. The T239 also reportedly includes a File Decompression Engine not found on the T234, meaning the Switch 2 could have pretty fast load times, provided the rest of the system's hardware is up to the task.Continue Reading at GameSpot

If you google the term "multiverse fatigue," you'll find a whole slate of articles, social media posts, and forum discussions in which people complain about how much the idea of a "multiverse" has permeated popular culture.
