Apex Legends Season 19: Ignite is nearly here, kicking off on October 31, and after steadily drip-feeding players info about the new season over the last few weeks, Respawn has finally revealed all of the features Apex's playerbase can look forward to this season via the release of Season 19's patch notes.

Season 19 is one of Apex Legends' biggest seasons yet in terms of new content (including the addition of cross-progression and some truly massive map changes), and the patch notes make this clear. From info on new legend Conduit and her abilities to nitty-gritty details regarding legend nerfs and buffs, weapon changes, and other gameplay tweaks, there's quite a lot to cover.

Respawning reworked



One of the biggest changes hitting the game this season is a huge change to the way respawning works. Once Season 19 goes live players will respawn with the shields and the weapons they had prior to being eliminated. Both body shield and helmet tier will be preserved, knockdown shields will be reset to Level 1, and the player's backpack will be removed. The player's inventory will contain both their weapons and some ammo required for those weapons, along with two syringes and two shield cells. Battlefield 2042 On Steam Now Has More Players Than Ever

Battlefield 2042 has more players now on Steam than it did when it first released almost two years ago, a major about-face for a game heavily criticized at launch as being buggy and unfinished.

According to Steam Charts, on October 15, Battlefield 2042 broke its concurrent player record on Steam with over 101,000 players, just surpassing the 100,590 player-peak of the game's launch. Then, on October 16, it did it again, breaking 103,000 concurrent players. For context, in September, Battlefield 2042's peak player on Steam count reached a high of 11,843 players.

Why the massive jump in player numbers? Battlefield 2042 was free to download and play both on PC and consoles over the weekend and is currently heavily discounted as well. On Steam, the game can currently be bought for under $10, while on consoles it can be picked up for $21. Battlefield 2042 is additionally playable via EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate, with the game's arrival last year on Game Pass in particular being a "huge moment" for the developers, as the team knew it would bring in a large influx of new players. The second season of Invincible premieres on November 3 on Prime Video, and if you thought the first run of the adult animated series was a bloody exploration of superhero action, then you're going to need to prepare yourself for some multiversal mayhem. After all, multiverses are all the rage these days! Starring Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, an 18-year-old rookie hero who discovers a dark secret about his father and heritage, Invincible Season 2 sees Grayson on the mend after the catastrophic events of the previous episodes. With his father Omni-Man having left Earth, Grayson is more determined than ever to help the world as Invincible, taking on massive threats and saving the day. In an effort to expand his knowledge of the dimensions that he could safely travel to, Levy would enlist the aid of the Mauler twins to help him, but an ill-fated encounter would leave Levy disfigured and hellbent on revenge against Invincible.

Dan Harmon has an unexpected ally in Zack Snyder for a possible--and still very hypothetical--upcoming Rick and Morty movie. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Rick and Morty co-creator revealed that Snyder has a good deal of enthusiasm for a film-length adaptation.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 Reworks Sombra, Adds New Diablo-Themed Event Mode

Overwatch 2 Season 7 will overhaul the stealthy DPS Sombra, while offering an assortment of Halloween-themed events and skins to help players to celebrate the spookiest time of the year.

As teased by Blizzard earlier this week and elaborated on in more detail in a recent blog post, Overwatch 2 is receiving a Diablo IV crossover when Season 7 kicks off October 10. Called Trials of Sanctuary, players will step into the shoes of heroes like Reinhardt, Pharah, and Sombra (each donning their best Diablo-themed cosplay) to battle against Lilith Moira and her army of minions, including Butcher Roadhog and Azmodan Wrecking Ball. Over the course of a match, players can acquire items dropped by enemies to power up their abilities.

The Halloween events from previous years, Junkenstein's Revenge and Wrath of the Bride, will also return alongside new challenges that can be completed for Battle Pass XP, Overwatch Credits, and Halloween-themed cosmetics. For one week only (October 10-17), players will additionally be able to spend Overwatch Credits to unlock heroes added in Overwatch 2: Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, and Lifeweaver. Overwatch 2 Season 7 Is Getting A Hellish Crossover With Diablo 4

Overwatch 2's next season, Rise of Darkness, will kick off October 10, and it's bringing with it what looks to be a crossover with Blizzard's own Diablo IV just in time for Halloween.

A short teaser shows what appears to be a Moira skin tailored after Diablo IV's big-bad, Lilith, as well as a spooky new version of the Blizzard World map and an updated version of Overwatch's Halloween PvE event game mode, Junkenstein's Revenge. The mode looks to take place inside the Tristram Cathedral portion of the Blizzard theme park-inspired map and features Diablo-like Town Portals players will need to contend with.

Why Spawn Is Such A Good Match For Call Of Duty--And Could Help Set The Stage For The Spawn Movie

Since Todd McFarlane's Spawn's debut in Spawn #1 back in May of 1992, McFarlane has tried to make his character as big as his Marvel creations. Within just a few years, Spawn launched into television–-winning two Emmy Awards in the process--a feature film, and video games. Spawn has now been featured in nine video games, four of those being non-Spawn titles including Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC addition. Spawn will soon be a part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II with operators having Spawn-themed skins in the Season 6 battle pass--rather than being sold as a separate bundle, as is usually the case with crossovers like The Boys and Godzilla. And that might be due in part to just how good of a match Spawn is for Call of Duty, as Todd McFarlane told GameSpot.

McFarlane created the hellish mercenary when he was a teenager and is the key figure in the Todd McFarlane brand–-even the logo of this company is a stylized version of Spawn's mask. McFarlane talked about how Spawn has been seen as just a video game character instead of a comic book character by the younger generation, but it doesn't bother him how you found the character.

"The malleable part of Spawn is also part of my sinister master plan because I don't care how you get into the door to the world of Spawn. If it's cool because you saw something cool in the comics?
