HBO's The Last of Us is coming back for a second season, and now we know when production will begin. Showrunner Craig Mazin said during a panel this week that filming begins February 12, according to Variety. This start-date is no surprise. After all, HBO boss Casey Bloys said Season 2 would begin filming in early 2024. As for when The Last of Us Season 2 might debut, it's not expected to arrive until 2025 at the soonest, so fans should get comfortable.
The Last of Us TV show, which is based on the Naughty Dog game series, debuted in January 2023 and became a quick success. It didn't take long for HBO to greenlight a second season.
