Fanatical's Diamond Collection Offers Great Discounts On Cyberpunk And Starship Troopers Games

The new Diamond Collection bundle just launched at Fanatical, letting you create your own bundle from a list of 22 titles, many of which are playable on Steam Deck. Like Fanatical's other build-your-own bundle deals, the Diamond Collection has a sliding price scale based on how many games you add to your bundle, but the price per game decreases the more you add. The bundle starts at three games for $15 ($5 per key), then goes up to five games for $23 ($4.60 per key), and seven or more games for $31.50 ($4.50). There's no limit on how many games you can add to your bundle, so can even grab the full 22-game selection for just $100. See at Fanatical

As for the games on offer, one of the best deals is The Action, Strategy, and RPG Triple-Pack, which includes three games in a single pack: cyberpunk action RPG The Ascent, roguelike RPG For the King, and top-down horde shooter From Space.

Another highlight on the list is Starship Troopers: Terran Command, which turns the alien-blasting premise of the movie and books into a real-time strategy game where you command soldiers against hordes of arachnid threats. Wasteland 3 is another good game, as this party- and turn-based strategy combat adventure is set in a post-apocalyptic world that dynamically reacts to your decisions. It's a good-looking game with a fascinating narrative and deep gameplay systems that you can lose yourself in for hours. Those are just a few of the many other games available in Fanatical's Diamond Collection. Check the list below for the full lineup of titles.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Next Like A Dragon Is A Pirate Adventure Starring Starring Majima

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have revealed the next Like a Dragon game, and this time, everyone's favorite Yakuza loose cannon Goro Majima will be the star of it. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will see an amnesiac Majima reinvent himself as a pirate captain searching for a legendary treasure, an adventure that will see him cross swords with Hawaiian pirate gangs. The first trailer doesn't show much in terms of gameplay, but it does give a good look at Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii's cast, the actors voicing them, and a release date of February 28, 2025.

During the RGG Summit, producer Ryosuke Horii explained that the spin-off has a "very different" battle design when compared to the recent mainline games that use a turn-based RPG game. "It's fast-paced, and it has a lot of Majima's uniqueness, that’s what we aimed for," Horii said. Majima will be able to switch between two fighting styles--Mad Dog and Sea Dog--utilizing his signature Yakuza fighting moves and a weapons-based system where he goes all in on the pirate theme.

Additionally, Majima can take part in several minigames, something that has become a staple of Yakuza and Like a Dragon games over the years. Fans of the franchise have been spoiled for choice recently, as RGG Studio has steadily pumped out several games. Since 2020, the developer has released two mainline entries in the series, a remake of Like a Dragon: Ishin, and the spin-off Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.Continue Reading at GameSpot

BioWare Wants To Avoid Only Having A Single Canon In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Almost everyone's experience in the Dragon Age games varies depending upon the choices they make while playing them. And according to BioWare, the team behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard wants to honor the choices made by players in the previous titles by not being tied down to only one official continuity.

Creative director Jon Epler told GamesRadar that as far as BioWare is concerned, the studio wants to "avoid the idea of there being a single canon" in the Dragon Age games. He added, that "if we don't feel we can do something respectful of the choice you made we oftentimes just don't necessarily reference it... We never want you to feel like your world state is being invalidated."

Since The Veilguard takes place roughly a decade after Dragon Age: Inquisition, one of the ways that BioWare addressed the issue was by setting the sequel in a different part of Thedas. Epler noted that the key to juggling the multiple-canon approach was by never directly contracting the decisions made by the players in the older games.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Devs Accessed Special Archive To Create Authentic Adventure

Wolfenstein developer MachineGames is bringing a legendary archeologist to life in December's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and for this new adventure, the developer wanted to deliver an authentic experience to fans. The studio has been working closely with Lucasfilm Games, leveraging a partnership that gave it access to an archive of unseen Indiana Jones material and drew upon the knowledge of experts.

"We’ve been in weekly meetings with Lucasfilm," creative director Axel Torvenius said to The Guardian. "From audio [to] design, narrative, art, they've been an invaluable resource. They are the experts on Indiana Jones and everything that goes with it. We even gained access to their archive, really old and rare material, early concept art from Raiders, rare photos from sets."

Set a year after the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Great Circle is aiming to look and feel like a globetrotting adventure. There'll be puzzles to solve, far-off locations to visit, and Nazis to clock in the face. This version of Indy is being voiced by Troy Baker of The Last of Us fame, who Torvenius says has done an outstanding job of replicating Harrison Ford's character.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Why GTA Online Players Think Its New Anti-Cheat May Hint At GTA 5's Future

GTA Online was recently updated with new anti-cheat software, and some players think this move could be a sign that GTA 5's PC port may be in for a serious upgrade. If you're a little confused regarding the connection between GTA Online's new BattleEye anti-cheat software and GTA 5's graphics on PC, you're not alone, but the theory isn't as off-the-wall as it sounds.

First, some history: The PC port of Rockstar's iconic GTA 5 arrived in 2015. Years later, in 2022, the game was released for current-gen consoles: the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Hopeful fans of the franchise believe the move to outfit GTA Online with BattleEye anti-cheat could be a sort of preparation for "Gen9," a rumored PC release of the same updates GTA 5 previously received on current-gen consoles

A leftover metadata file indicates Rockstar has been working on a Gen9 version of #GTAV for PC since earlier this year.
The addition of BattlEye could be seen as preparations for the arrival of the Gen9 version on PC. — Tez2 (@TezFunz2) September 17, 2024

Hardcore fans of the GTA franchise are no stranger to wild rumors and theories that may seem like a stretch, but GTA's eagle-eyed players often do catch on to small details that point to something bigger. The theory is also backed up by leaks, including a folder players uncovered on Rockstar's website titled "SITES-GTA-GEN9."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Respawn To Develop Final Game In Star Wars "Jedi" Trilogy, Says EA

The final chapter in Cal Kestis' story will be told by Respawn Entertainment, according to EA. The information was shared during EA's Investor Day 2024 presentation.

Respawn developed both 2019's Jedi: Fallen Order and its sequel, 2023's Jedi: Survivor, so the studio is a natural pick for the third and final chapter in the trilogy, but EA's comments during the presentation confirm that the third entry in the series is actively being developed.

"We have delivered some of the highest quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all-time, with over $5 billion in net bookings," EA president of entertainment and technology Laura Miele told investors during the presentation. "This impressive track record includes of course the Star Wars 'Jedi' games, where over 40 million Star Wars fans have connected with Cal Kestis and his arc of becoming a powerful Jedi. Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Leaks On ESRB Site

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been rated by the ESRB, suggesting that an upgraded version of the open-world game is in development for PS5 and PC. First released for the PS4 in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn was later ported to PC in 2020 and received a sequel--Horizon Forbidden West--in 2023. Rumors of a remaster first popped up in 2022, as a report claimed that accessibility features, graphical modes, and quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay itself would bring the game up to the same standard as its sequel.

The listing, which is still live at the time of writing, details the basic plot of the game, as well as small references to sexual material, fictional drugs, and at least one instance of salty language. Interestingly, Horizon Zero Dawn did receive a PS5 update in 2021 that added a 60fps performance and a 4K resolution, and this reveal comes shortly after Sony officially confirmed a November launch date for the PS5 Pro console.

The recent first look at the PS5 Pro also showcased Horizon Forbidden West running on it, so another update for Horizon Zero Dawn wouldn't be an unusual move for Sony. On top of that, fans of Aloy and the post-robot-apocalypse can also look forward to Lego Horizon Adventures later this year, as that game puts a more lighthearted spin on the series.Continue Reading at GameSpot

"Large Scale" Playtests For New Battlefield Will Start Early Next Year

More details about the next entry in the Battlefield franchise have been revealed during a recent EA Investor's presentation, with a "large scale community-driven testing program" for the game set to begin in early 2025.

During the presentation, Battlefield general manager Byron Beede shared more insights into how the four studios working on the upcoming shooter are operating, putting a focus on "finding the fun" through rapid prototyping and player feedback. Beede said the teams have been "playing the game nearly daily for well over a year," which has helped the development process.

Each of the four studios working on the game are contributing to different aspects of it. DICE is handling the trademark multiplayer the franchise is known for with help from Criterion. Additionally, Criterion is also working on the single-player campaign for the next Battlefield alongside Motive. Finally, Ripple Effect is working on a mysterious "new Battlefield experience."Continue Reading at GameSpot

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Tokyo Ghoul, one of the most popular manga and anime series of all time, and for the first time ever, the complete saga is being collected into a new Blu-ray release. Available starting December 31 and priced at $81 (was $120) through the Crunchyroll Store, this box set includes the original Tokyo Ghoul series alongside all episodes of Tokyo Ghoul √A and Tokyo Ghoul:re.

EA Discusses The Possibility Of A Battlefield TV Show Or Movie

EA's Battlefield franchise began 24 years ago with a World War II game, and the early word on the next installment will bring it back to the present. But will Battlefield head to Hollywood after that? Vince Zampella, the head of EA's Respawn Entertainment, recently acknowledged that there is interest in adapting Battlefield, but not necessarily from EA or Respawn.

"There are definitely opportunities there," Zampella told IGN. "We've had some discussions, but it's not our core business. To me, that stuff, when it works, it's super cool... Like Arcane was f**king great. But there's other ones that haven't worked as well and I won't name those, but you know what they are... I would love to see it. Right now, we're not looking at anything like that for Battlefield."

Although there apparently aren't any Battlefield adaptations in the works now, that wasn't always the case. In 2016, Paramount Television and Anonymous Content signed a deal to bring Battlefield to television. That was proceeded by Fox's attempt to adapt Battlefield for TV in 2012, which would have been an action-comedy based on Battlefield: Bad Company.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Battlefield Boss Says PS5 Pro Price "Makes Sense" Even If Its Expensive For People

The high price point of PlayStation's PS5 Pro has been a hot topic and EA's Vince Zampella has weighed in, offering a more middle of the road take on the console. Zampella said that he thinks the price is "actually not that bad" when compared to other options, although he recognized that it's still expensive for many people.

In an interview with IGN discussing the future of Battlefield, including a return to a modern setting, the Head of Respawn and Group GM for EA Studios Organization said--that when adjusted for inflation--the PS5 Pro isn't priced that much higher than some previous consoles and that it offers better performance than building a PC for the same cost. That said, Zampella recognized that the asking price is higher than many people would like.

"So I mean, it's a balance. Is it expensive for people? Absolutely. Not everybody will be able to afford it," Zampella said. "Would it be better if it was cheaper? Sure. I want more people to have it. But it makes sense, really."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Final Fantasy 16 Producer Kindly Asks PC Players To Not Make Or Install "Offensive Or Inappropriate" Mods

Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida is asking players ahead of the game's September 17 PC release to not make, or even install, mods that might be "offensive or inappropriate," a request so futile that it's kind of charming in its own way.

Yoshida's request comes from a recent interview with PC Gamer. When game director Hiroshi Takai was asked what kind of silly mods they might like to see added to Final Fantasy 16 once it lands on PC, Yoshida answered instead. Like a man attempting to hold back an oncoming flood, Yoshida asked very nicely for players to not make offensive or inappropriate content for the game.

"If we said, 'It'd be great if someone made XYZ,' it might come across as a request, so I'll avoid mentioning any specifics here," Yoshida said. "The only thing I will say is that we definitely don't want to say anything offensive or inappropriate, so please don't make or install anything like that."Continue Reading at GameSpot

Madden 25 Cover Athlete Christian McCaffrey Injured, Will Miss 4 Games

Earlier this year, San Francisco 49ers running back--and last year's Offensive Player of the Year--Christian McCaffrey was named the cover athlete for Madden NFL 25. But unfortunately, McCaffrey has been placed on injured reserve with calf soreness and Achilles tendinitis. As part of the IR designation, McCaffrey will miss at least the first four games of the season.

Via ESPN, McCaffrey had a history of injuries when he was a member of the Carolina Panthers in 2020 and 2021. For those two seasons, McCaffrey played in 10 games total. Since arriving in San Francisco, McCaffrey has played in 32 out of the 49ers' 33 games. But given McCaffrey's recent appearance on Madden NFL 25's cover, his injury has reinvigorated talk about the so-called Madden curse.

The late John Madden was primarily featured on the cover of the video games that shared his name prior to 1998. Once NFL players were featured on the cover, it gave rise to theory that there was some sort of Madden curse that would doom the cover athletes to either an injury or a subpar season. CBS Sports recently ran an analysis of the Madden curse by looking back at what happened to the last 24 athletes who appeared on the cover. 14 players either suffered an injury or had diminished playing skills afterwards.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Retro Nintendo Fans Won't Want To Miss Newly Translated Game Boy And NES Books

Gaming history makes for a fascinating subject to read about, and if you're looking to dive deep into the hidden stories behind Nintendo's NES and Game Boy systems, you'll want to check out these two books. Written by well-known gaming historian Florent George, these are the long-awaited translations of the third and fourth volumes in The History of Nintendo series and are now available through Amazon. The History Of the Famicom/NES is available for $28 and you can pair that with The History Of The Game Boy at the same price.

So what makes these books so different? Gorge's unofficial history books go deep into the business of Nintendo, covering the company's origins when it started selling playing cards and eventually rose to prominence as a video game giant. Instead of relying on widely available facts, Gorge unearthed surprising secrets and revelations to explore the secret history of Nintendo.

The History Of the Famicom/NES

$28

This newly translated volume chronicles the rise of Nintendo from 1983-2016, focusing on the Family Computer (Famicom) that would come to be known as the Nintendo Entertainment System in the rest of the world. With over 15 years of research done in Japan, Gorge uncovered exclusive revelations and a totally unknown part of NES history for this book. As an added bonus, you can also read up on the history of the NES in France. See at Amazon

The History Of The Game Boy

$28

Similar to the NES volume, The History Of The Game Boy is a well-researched book packed with information and interviews with the key players behind Nintendo's successful handheld console. This is a thoroughly investigated look back at the history of Nintendo, and the lasting influence of the Game Boy over several decades. See at Amazon

If you're looking for a companion piece to go with these Nintendo books, you can also check out The Game Boy Encyclopedia and how it explores the hundreds of games released for the handheld across its lifespan. Written by veteran video game journalist Chris Scullion, this covers every game released in the West for both the Game Boy and its 1998 successor, the Game Boy Color, around 1,150 games in total. You can also read up on the gaming libraries of the NES, SNES, and N64 through Scullion's other encyclopedias.Continue Reading at GameSpot

You’ll also find a slight discount on the paperback box set, which is just $38 (was $54). Like the hardcover set above, this paperback edition comes with all three books in the trilogy and a slipcase for storage, but since the hardcover edition is just an extra $5, it's certainly a better deal.

Warhammer 40,000 - Where To Start With Video Games, Books, And Tabletop

Space Marine 2 is off to a tremendous start. Not only has it reviewed well, but it shattered Warhammer's franchise record for concurrent players on launch day and became Focus Entertainment's fastest-selling game. Long-time Warhammer-heads will feel right at home donning the blue armor of the Ultramarines chapter, but given its current popularity, plenty of newcomers are jumping into the series for the first time with Space Marine 2. And if you wind up loving the world of Warhammer, there's good news: Warhammer 40K has a massive library of video games, books, and tabletop miniatures to explore.

On the other hand, all that content can be intimidating to newcomers--there are hundreds of novels, dozens of games, and nearly four decades of tabletop lore to catch up on. Luckily, there are some clear entry points into the Warhammer 40,000 universe. One of the newest is Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide. Releasing October 29, the 336-page hardcover tome is the first official Warhammer 40,000 encyclopedia.

Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide

$40 (was $45)

Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide is packed with lore for each of 40K's many factions, plus illustrations and high-quality photos of the latest edition tabletop miniatures. If you're curious to know more about the Imperium of Man, its super-powered Space Marine soldiers, and its many enemies (and victims), or you're a veteran looking to admire some well-painted minis, this book has both. Preorders are available at Amazon, and you can grab it right now for a slight discount at $40 (normally $45). Preorder at Amazon

Warhammer 40,000 Core Rulebook (free download)

Warhammer 40,000: The Ultimate Guide looks to be a solid entry point for new fans who want a holistic overview of the grimdark universe and its many warring factions, but there's plenty more 40K content out there for those who want to go deeper. One of the easiest places to start is the Warhammer 40K 10th Edition tabletop core rulebook, which is available as a free digital download. The core rulebook is probably the best way to get into the setting, even if you don't plan on playing the tabletop game. While the tabletop wargame's rules take up a considerable chunk of the book, the rest is chock-full of explanations of the various factions, weapons, and planets found in the 40K setting. You can also download the individual indexes and datasheets for each of the playable factions. These digital books contain army-specific rules for the many factions and sub-factions playable in the tabletop game. There are also physical Codex books for each playable army that offer even more lore, rules, and other details.Continue Reading at GameSpot

EU Accuses Epic, EA, And More Of Tricking Gamers With In-App Purchases

Epic Games, Electronic Arts, Roblox, Microsoft, Activision Blizzard, Mojang Studios, Supercell, and Ubisoft are the target of a new mobile-gaming consumer complaint filed by The European Consumer Organization (BEUC) with the European Commission and the European Network of Consumer Authorities. In short, BEUC is accusing the companies of tricking players into spending money on in-app purchases with misleading marketing tactics.

As part of the complaint, BEUC released a 36-page report detailing its allegations. The report accuses the video game companies of using "harmful commercial practices" including loot boxes, deceptive designs, in-game premium currency, and aggressive marketing to fool players--especially children-- into making in-app purchases.

"BEUC's members have identified numerous cases where gamers are misled into spending money," said BEUC Director General Agustin Reyna in a statement. "Regulators must act, making it clear that even though the gaming world is virtual, it still needs to abide by real-world rules. Today, premium in-game currencies are purposefully tricking consumers and take a big toll on children. Companies are well aware of children's vulnerability and use tricks to lure younger consumers into spending more."Continue Reading at GameSpot

A Massive Balatro Exploit Has Been Hiding In The Game All Along, Dev Confirms

The poker roguelite Balatro has built a strong and loyal community of players thanks to the many different ways the game can surprise you during a run. Today--on the same day the game launched on mobile devices--developer LocalThunk has seemingly confirmed a feature that looks like a glitch, but is instead working as intended.

This exploit, which was brought to light in a YouTube video by BelenosBear, involves the Misprint joker card, and more specifically, it centers around the seemingly random text that flashes in the Misprint’s ability text.

Basically, if you pause during a Balatro run, go to your collection of cards in the pause menu, and then go to Misprint, once in a while random numbers, letters, and symbols will flash in the ability text. As it turns out, those sequences aren't random, and they actually tell you the top card of your deck through the numbers and letters that appear; in BelenosBear’s video, for example, a sequence that ends in “4S” produces the four of spades on the next draw, while “9H” produces the nine of hearts.Continue Reading at GameSpot

New Venom 3 Trailer Introduces The King Of The Symbiotes, Knull

Sony has released the second trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, which closes in on the film's plot: The symbiotes were not sent to Earth randomly, but rather trying to escape their maker, Knull. This is the third movie in the Venom franchise with Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, and so far, featuring the only successful Spider-Man villain spin-off character.

"In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy," the official film synopsis reads. "Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance." Check out the new trailer below.

Created by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, Knull was first introduced in 2018, and soon mentioned in various issues of Web of Venom, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the War of the Realms crossover event. After that, Knull was the main antagonist in Cates and Tradd Moore's Silver Surfer: Black mini-series.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Xbox Cuts 650 More Gaming Jobs, But No Studios Closed Or Games Canceled

Microsoft has implemented another round of heavy cuts to its Xbox gaming team following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In this latest round of layoffs, Microsoft is eliminating about 650 positions from its gaming team, but no additional studios have closed and no other games are canceled as a result of the move, which Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed on September 12. In January, Microsoft cut 1,900 gaming positions, bringing the number of cuts to the company to about 2,550 since the $75.4 billion deal to buy Activision Blizzard closed in October 2023.

In a memo to staff obtained by IGN, Spencer said the cuts came as part of Microsoft's effort to align the company's "post-acquisition team structure and managing our business."

The approximately 650 layoffs from Microsoft Gaming "mostly" impact the "corporate and supporting" functions of the business, the company said. Affected staffers in the US are getting severance, extended healthcare, and outplacement services. Packages for those outside of the US are available, too, and vary by location.Continue Reading at GameSpot

The Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition Includes The Full Game And All DLC Expansions For $70

Last year saw a megaton of fantastic games arrive on PC and consoles, including the surprise release of Dead Island 2. Stuck in development hell for what seemed like an eternity, Dead Island 2 wasn't a GOTY contender, but it still had plenty of cheeky charm. And if you've been waiting to play it, you can grab the upcoming Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition which includes the base game and tons of extra content for $70. Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition launches for PS5 and Xbox Series X on October 22, and preorders are available now.

* Red’s Demise Pack
* 6 Slayer's Premium Skin Packs

Preorders for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition are available for $70 at Best Buy. Preorder on PS5 Preorder on Xbox Series X

If you missed it when it first came out, Dead Island 2 is a horror-action first-person game that unfolds in Los Angeles after the city was overrun with zombies. It has a great sense of humor, plenty of interesting gameplay systems, and it's one of the best 7/10 games of 2023. Basically, it has a few annoyances, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

"Games labeled as being in "development hell" rarely release in a state anyone would want to experience--if they release at all. With Dead Island 2, however, Dambuster Studios kicks away a decade of dev hell problems like they’re a zombie lunging for its throat to deliver an undead RPG that is surely imperfect, but also enjoyable and even inventive," Mark Delaney wrote in GameSpot's Dead Island 2 review.Continue Reading at GameSpot

GameStop Makes A Surprise Profit, Warns Of Impending Store Closures

GameStop has reported earnings for the quarter that ended on August 3, and, to the surprise of some, the retailer has turned a profit. Despite that, GameStop's stock price is sliding--it's down 15% today--due to a downturn in sales and ongoing uncertainty about how GameStop can stay relevant and healthy long term.

For the quarter, GameStop sales slid from $1.164 billion to $798 million. Despite that, GameStop posted a net income of $14.8 million, which was a marked improvement over the company's $2.8 million loss for the same period a year ago.

GameStop's selling, general, and administrative (SG&A) costs for the period amounted to $270.8 million, compared to $322.5 million during the same period last year.Continue Reading at GameSpot

PS5 Pro: Analysts Weigh In On Price, GTA 6 Effect, And More

Coming out of the official reveal of Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro, there were two common complaints on social media: the lack of a disc drive and the $700 retail price. Now, video game analysts are sharing their opinions about whether gamers are ready to accept the PS5 Pro when it arrives in just under two months.

Ampere Analysis's research director for games, Piers Harding-Rolls, doesn't believe that the price will ultimately deter too many fans from getting a PS5 Pro over the next few years. He also stated that since Microsoft's Xbox Series X doesn't appear to be getting a mid-generation console upgrade of its own, Sony had a free hand to introduce PS5 Pro with the higher price point.

Mat Piscatella, the executive director and video game industry analyst at Circana, wrote on Threads that the PS4 Pro didn't significantly increase the number of total PlayStation 4s that were sold, but it did appeal "to the super enthusiast" and it accounted for 15% of the total dollars that were spent on the system. Harding-Rolls predicts that the PS5 Pro will ultimately reach the same audience, albeit at lower numbers than the PS4 Pro.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Call Of Duty's Latest BlackCell Operator Is A Three-Headed, Throat-Ripping Monster Version Of Ghost

Activision has revealed Season 6 for Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile, and like with past seasons, this one also has a new BlackCell DLC offering. The headliner of the latest BlackCell bundle is an operator named "Alone," who is something of a monster.

Alone is described as a "three-headed zombified mutation" of the character Ghost, and as you can see in the image below, the character certainly lives up to that grisly description. It's a fitting and timely operator, as Season 6 also coincides with the return of Call of Duty's annual Halloween-themed Haunting event that brings all manner of spooky elements to the game like Michael Myers.Season 6's BlackCell DLC has been revealed

Pricing was not disclosed in Activision's blog post, but previous BlackCell bundles sold for $30, and it's expected that will be the price for this one as well.Continue Reading at GameSpot

A Player Recreated Stardew Valley With Lego Bricks, And It's Breathtaking

2014's award-winning farming sim Stardew Valley has been immortalized in Lego form via a massive recreation of the game's Pelican Town map by Stardew fan and Lego connoisseur Steve Jensen. This week, Jensen unveiled his enormous creation at BrickCon, a Washington-based Lego convention.

Jensen's detailed recreation includes the town's local Jojo Mart, Lego versions of the game's NPCs (and their respective houses), the overgrown Community Center that players are introduced to when first starting the game, and even the game's iconic logo. View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Bricks & Minifigs Monroe WA (@bricksmonroe)

Jensen's painstakingly detailed recreation of the game won the People's Choice Award at BrickCon, which Jensen said came as a major surprise, but there was an even bigger surprise waiting for him at the convention: A visit from Stardew Valley creator, art director, composer, and developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone.
