Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been rated by the ESRB, suggesting that an upgraded version of the open-world game is in development for PS5 and PC. First released for the PS4 in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn was later ported to PC in 2020 and received a sequel--Horizon Forbidden West--in 2023. Rumors of a remaster first popped up in 2022, as a report claimed that accessibility features, graphical modes, and quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay itself would bring the game up to the same standard as its sequel.
The listing, which is still live at the time of writing, details the basic plot of the game, as well as small references to sexual material, fictional drugs, and at least one instance of salty language. Interestingly, Horizon Zero Dawn did receive a PS5 update in 2021 that added a 60fps performance and a 4K resolution, and this reveal comes shortly after Sony officially confirmed a November launch date for the PS5 Pro console.
The recent first look at the PS5 Pro also showcased Horizon Forbidden West running on it, so another update for Horizon Zero Dawn wouldn't be an unusual move for Sony.
