The high price point of PlayStation's PS5 Pro has been a hot topic and EA's Vince Zampella has weighed in, offering a more middle of the road take on the console. Zampella said that he thinks the price is "actually not that bad" when compared to other options, although he recognized that it's still expensive for many people.
In an interview with IGN discussing the future of Battlefield, including a return to a modern setting, the Head of Respawn and Group GM for EA Studios Organization said--that when adjusted for inflation--the PS5 Pro isn't priced that much higher than some previous consoles and that it offers better performance than building a PC for the same cost. That said, Zampella recognized that the asking price is higher than many people would like.
"So I mean, it's a balance. Is it expensive for people? Absolutely. Not everybody will be able to afford it," Zampella said. "Would it be better if it was cheaper? Sure. I want more people to have it. But it makes sense, really."Continue Reading at GameSpot
